Photo Post 3

A shitload has happened in the week since my last post. Attempted to head to Sorrento on Friday only to get stopped halfway as a mudslide had wiped out a few towns on the Amalfi Coast due to heavy rain the night before.

Headed to Milan on Saturday. Caught a train from Salerno, and one long ass 10 hour train ride later we arrived in Milan. By the time we got to Zio's house it was nearly 10pm... 13 hours since we got boarded the train that morning and we were both dead tired. Which brings us to Sunday and...

MONZA!!! The home of the Italian Grand Prix, the Autodromo Nazionale Monza, is situated in Monza park, the largest enclosed park in Europe. And after having to walk through it to get to the track, I'd fucking beleive it too.

The atmosphere was awesome. Ferrari on pole, looking promising to take out the win. As fate would have it, they did, and the crowd went wild.

Monday, the start of our 3rd week in Italy and the promise of a day shopping in Milan was enough to wave any thoughts of home-sickness from Delia's head. But first stop was the Duomo. It looks amazing from outside. The city of Milan is amazing. The architecutre and the landscaping is truly beautiful. It's the first city outside of Melbourne I've actually though I'd be able to live in.

And today we headed to Lake Como, one of Italy's forgotten treasures. Everyone comes to see the colloseum, take a stupid cliched Pisa photo, and get lost in Venice. But not everyone remembers Lake Como. It's one of the prettiest places I've ever seen.
